Welcome to Sevenoaks Indoor Bowls Club
The 8 rink purpose built indoor bowls centre was opened in 1990 and is situated at the lower end of
Hollybush Close. We get many local people who come into the club for the first time, look
around at our marvellous facilities and say "We have lived in Sevenoaks for years and did not know
this place was here."
The Members took over the running of the Club from Sevenoaks District Council in 2004.
A Management Committee was formed and they have spent the time since then updating and
improving the facilities now enjoyed by our members. In 2005 we replaced the bowls carpet
and the following year had the floor boarded to give us a perfect playing surface.
The Club caters for all levels of bowling from National and County standard to
friendly and social play. Beginners are made most welcome and free instruction is
available to all. There is also an enthusiastic section of disabled bowlers and we have
special facilities for wheelchair access. We are a very friendly club and run in-house
competitions and leagues as well as three club sessions a week. A fixture list of inter club
matches are arranged for weekends and mid-week.
Those of all abilities are welcome to join us. If you have not played bowls before,
why not come along and give it a try. You are never too old or too young to play bowls.
The Club also has a thriving social programme of events throughout the year, from Whist,
Bridge, Bingo, Quiz Nights, Race Nights and Cabaret Evenings with Live Music and Entertainment.
Within the Club we have our own bar and restaurant and serve an excellent Carvery every second
Sunday throughout the year. Delicious lunches and snacks are available during the week.
Even if you do not want to play bowls you are welcome to join as a Social Member and enjoy all the
Club's facilities. There is also ample free car parking.
